Big Brother 18: Second Chance – The Ladies (Part 2)

With less than a month to go before the premiere of Big Brother 18, rumors are beginning to circulate about who will be moving into the Big Brother house this summer. Will it be all returnees? All Newbies? Or some sort of combination of the two?

My guess, we will have two more seasons of newbies, which will set us up for the most epic season of Big Brother ever; Big Brother 20:Winners. By season 20, we should have enough interesting winning houseguests to create a dream cast that will pit all (or most, sorry Adam) of the winners against each other, to see who will reign supreme as the Greatest Big Brother Player of All Time.

Another possible, and maybe more realistic option, season 18 will be Big Brother: Second Chances. This will give the producers one more chance to have their favorite houseguests (that have never won the game) be a part of their epic 20th season of winners.

One issue that casting has been running into with All Stars, is the common availability times of their “must-return winners.” No Big Brother: All-Stars would be complete without Dan, Derrick, Jun, Dr. Will, Evel Dick, Hayden M, Rachel, etc.

So, if the producers give them all two years notice, and inform them that Big Brother 20 will be a winners season, with a $1 million prize, their golden children will have an ample amount of time to clear their schedules for the summer of 2018.

That leaves us with the question of who will get their second chance to become a Big Brother champion? The following, are the 18 girls, ranked in order of least to most deserving to get their second chance.

* Sticking to the rules put in place by Survivor: Second Chancesthe houseguests that have played the game ONLY once, and never won, will be invited to be a part of the Big Brother: Second Chance cast.

12. Renny, BB10

Being the oldest female to ever play the game did not stop Renny from becoming a fan favorite. Renny was nominated week 1 because of her argument with body builder Jessie. Once she survived, however, she became more likable, more entertaining, and a much better player.

Renny voted with the majority of the house right up until she was evicted in fifth place. She played a great game in terms of strategy, and her age was not a hinderance in forming tight alliances and bonds with houseguests nearly half her age.

Renny was a firecracker in every sense of the word, and her season-long bickering with 75 year old Jerry, made for some of the funniest fights in the history of the show.

One of Renny’s greatest fights in the BB house. All cumulating at 2:26 when she screams “YOU BETTER NOT!” at Libra. I could watch Renny all day and all night long.

The Renny and Dan time zone debate. One of the most amazing clips in reality TV history.

11. Helen, BB15

Helen gained a lot of fans on season 15, simply by not being an awful person that makes racist comments like the majority of her fellow houseguests. Helen was one of America’s only realistic options for a happy outcome with season 15, and once she was evicted, most viewers gave up all hope of having a satisfying, likable winner.

That being said, Helen played the game hard, and was a super fan of the show. She wanted to win, and was willing to do anything in order to get it. She was not scared to go after the power players, and make big moves to advance herself further in the game. Her alliance with Elissa proved that she had the ability to be extremely loyal, which is rare, but incredibly important in the BB house.

10. Jen, BB8

Jen Johnson is entertainment gold. Not only did she walk around wearing ridiculous homemade tank tops that said “JENSA MEMBER”, and “JENIUS”, but she also had arguably the greatest meltdown in the history of BB. Not because she was on the block, her friend got evicted, or she was fighting with someone, but because she hated the picture of her that was on the memory wall.

Jen was so oblivious to everything that was going on around her that it is impossible to take your eyes off her. She had absolutely no game or strategy (besides of course, having the foresight to go after Dick and Daniele in week 2), but somehow made it to the final 8.

During an extra special, and even more bizarre Jameka-God meltdown than usual, Jen demonstrates just how oblivious she is, as she requests a white belt for her new bunny costume because the black belt provided with the costume doesn’t match. You can’t write this stuff, and that is why we desperately need more Jen Johnson on Big Brother.

9. Keesha, BB10

If there is one thing Keesha did not do in season 10, it was fly under the radar. She had huge brawls (particularly with April), and formed extremely tight bonds (Steven, Renny, Memphis.)  Keesha was voted fan favorite and won the 25k at the end of the game, but it would be interesting to see if she would be as loved by America if she returned to play again. Drama surrounded Keesha everywhere she went, and she was constantly in the middle of the action. It is likely Keesha won the 25k as more of a reward for being an underdog that almost made the finals, rather than “America’s Sweetheart”, which CBS attempted to portray her as. Due to season 10’s HUGE female personalities, Keesha came across as the sweetheart. If she were on again, however, I think America would be shocked by how cutthroat and devious she could be.

If she were on an All-Star or Second Chance season, it would probably be difficult for Keesha to stay under the radar and drama free. But, it would sure be fun to watch her try.

8. Nicole, BB16

Nicole was a competitor in season 16. She was a good strategist and the only houseguests that was not in the “Bomb Squad” alliance to win HoH the entire season. The truth is, the “Bomb Squad”, and later “The Detonators”, were so strong that nobody had a chance against them.

Nicole did everything she could to take down the guys alliance, but unfortunately for her, the girls of BB16 were DOA. It would be interesting to see what she could do on a more level playing field in a Big Brother: Second Chance season.

7. Audrey, BB17

Despite the fact that she was absolutely horrendous at the game, Audrey is a must-returnee. She couldn’t keep her mouth closed, made more alliances than she knew what to do with, and had a meltdown that made the Big Brother gods giddy with joy.

Audrey may be one of the worst BB players of all time, but when it comes to entertainment, she is a legend. While her blatant disrespect of the rules of the game were pretty annoying, (she disregarded her food and hot water restrictions, locked herself in the Diary Room for hours on end, and didn’t even attend the Power of Veto ceremony that put her on the block), you can’t help but want to see her play agai

n.

Of course, the odds of her ever coming back and WINNING Big Brother is astronomically low. But if Rachel Reilly can do it, I suppose anyone can.
