Hello, my name is Ryan Jacobson, and I am a teacher, bartender, sommelier, and journalist.
I was born and raised in Westerly, RI, which is where I currently reside. I graduated from Rhode Island College in 2003 with a degree in Education, and have since received 4 additional teaching certifications in the fields of English, Social Studies, and Math. I teach middle school Math in Johnston, RI, and am a bartender at a popular beach bar in Misquamicut in the summer months.
I am passionate about music, television, travel, and wine. I have been writing about these topics for years, and have written over 100 articles on the best of music, television, and movies, as well as travel related adventures; including my 2 month adventure of Northern Uganda.
Within the past few years my passion for wine has blossomed, and I recently passed the first level examination towards becoming a Master Sommelier. The combination of my love of writing, and my growing interest in wine, has led many of my most recent articles to be centered around wine.
This website will feature articles, typically in countdown form, about each of my passions listed above. Each article based on everything entertainment, travel, and beer/wine related will be reader friendly, and help to keep you up to date on the latest and greatest in the aforementioned industries.
